Chalet Bartavelle is a charming gourmet catered chalet, owned by our partners Jerry and Bettina Mant.  Their emphasis is on personal service, attention to detail and fantastic food in order to make your holiday as enjoyable as they can possibly make it.

Jerry is a chef with over 20 years experience, working in Australia, France and some of the best restaurants in London (Goring Hotel, Harvey Nichols 5th floor restaurant and Oxo tower Restaurant).  Each season he will put together a mouth-watering menu for you to enjoy.

The chalet offers a warm, welcoming feel. Originally a barn, it was converted into a ski chalet in 1974 and has recently been renovated to a high standard so it is a blend of old charm and modern comforts.

As part of the service a twice daily transfer to the main lifts in Meribel is offered, so you don’t have to carry your equipment around.

Le Cruet is a charming french hamlet with traditional individual chalets. It is situated just below Meribel an easy car or bus ride from the main slopes of Meribel. At the end of the day there is an interesting red run from Meribel, making it possible to ski directly back to the chalet for most of the season.

Chalet Bartavelle sleeps up to 10 and is a catered only chalet. Please note that while the chalet can sleep up to 10 the basic price is for 8 people with a small supplement for person 9 and 10.  See price notes below.

We operate a no smoking policy within the chalet.

The listed prices are for the rental of the chalet as a whole sleeping up to 8 people (please conatct us if you are a smaller group and we will see what we can do) it includes. - 7 nights accommodation - Breakfast and afternoon tea - Pre-dinner drinks and canapés followed by a 3 course dinner with wine on 6 evenings - Twice daily transfers to and from the lifts (Our day off is usually wednesday and on this day we will be happy to recommend and book a restaurant for you). It is possible to sleep an extra 2 people in our mezzanine and for this we charge a small supplement of €450 per person per week for food and drink.

• Bed linen and bath towels provided
• Help with booking your ski lessons, ski passes and ski hire, transfers and anything else that will make your holiday run smoothly.
• Cooked and Continental breakfast (on 7 days)
• Homemade afternoon tea with coffee, tea and hot chocolate (on 7 days)
• Pre-dinner drinks and canapés followed by a three course evening meal (on 6 nights). Quality house wine served with the evening meal
• Children's dinner at 6pm (if required)
• Twice daily transfer to the slopes

25% deposit with final payment due 8 weeks before the holiday starts

Daily cleaning of the chalet, except Wednesdays
