Sitting on a mountain plateau at 1140m, surrounded by majestic mountains, Les Carroz, is a typical Savoyard village with a thriving year round community. Whilst being a well-known winter ski resort in the summer it makes a good base for many summertime pursuits as well as being part of the Flaine-Les Carroz 18 hole golfcourse. The village has plenty of bars and restaurants with discos and two cinemas to give added entertainment.

About Les Carroz
Whilst being a well-known winter ski resort, Les Carroz has a thriving village community all year round. Sitting on a mountain plateau at 1140m, surrounded by majestic mountains, this typical Savoyard village with many cosy bars and restaurants offers a really warm welcome to its many visitors. The resort was was created in 1936 with the first draglift coming into operation on 29th January 1939 - the longest in Europe at that time. As well as skiing and snowboarding, Les Carroz has a multitude of other winter activities to offer children (the resort was awarded the classification of “Famille Plus Montagne” by Skifrance in acknowledgement of the guarantee for an excellent family holiday). In the summer months, as well as activities including hiking and mountain biking, there is a superb 18 hole golf course linked with Flaine.
